Island Hut Coffee Café
A self-initiated concept you can explore as a real, interactive website.
THE OPPORTUNITY
Island Hut has the ingredients of a memorable Crown Point coffee stop — a distinct physical space, a handmade story and the kind of everyday moments people travel for. This self-initiated concept explored how those cues could become a digital experience with more personality than a standard café template.
THE APPROACH
The concept leans into slow mornings, warm wood, coffee culture and the story behind the hut itself. I built the experience as a lightweight, responsive site with layered photography, editorial storytelling, menu discovery and clear contact paths, while keeping the interaction simple enough to feel effortless for visitors on the go.
WHAT I HANDLED
Planning the website around the business goals, audience and the actions visitors should take.
Designing how the website looks, feels and flows so people can find what they need without having to think about it.
Turning the strategy into the visual direction — layouts, typography, imagery and the responsive experience.
Building the working website and translating the design into fast, responsive, reliable code.
Structuring the site, content and metadata so search engines can understand it and the right people can find it.
Writing and refining website copy so the business sounds clear, useful and persuasive.
Taking the finished website live and setting up the production environment so it can be delivered reliably.
Connecting the domain, DNS and related settings so the finished site lives at the right web address.
